Powell Electronics adds specialist RF connector franchise, COAX Connectors to European franchise portfolio
Lattice Announces Training Center for
Award-Winning FPGAs and Solution Stacks
the Lattice Education Competence Center (LEC2), a comprehensive training center. The LEC2 will provide Lattice’s customers and partners with the hands-on prod- uct training and application design expertise needed to get Lattice-based solutions to market quickly and easily. Focused solely on low-power Lattice FPGAs and award-win- ning solutions stacks, the LEC2 will help customers design and implement solutions for the industrial, automotive, communications, and computing markets. Eugen Krassin is the owner of Krassin Consulting GmbH and founder of PLC2 said, “We are excited to work with the company who has modernized the low-power FPGA. The Lattice Nexus platform is a completely redesigned FPGA fabric based on a 28 nm FD-SOI process technology that delivers previously unavailable levels of low-power performance, reliability, and ease-of-use to the FPGA ecosystem. Lattice technolo- gies are enabling FPGA-based solutions that were previous- ly not possible.”

P
owell Electronics has added COAX Connectors to its burgeoning portfolio of connector franchises in Europe following the signing of a full stocking franchise distribution agreement between the two companies. COAX Connectors is a leading UK designer, manufacturer and supplier of high-performance standard and custom
RF connectors. The company provides a complete end-to-end service from initial problem-solving, through design concepts and prototyping, to the supply of a fully-qualified production part. That is one reason why the agreement with Powell is so synergistic, since Powell is also highly experienced and able to support customers both commercially and technically. Commented Powell Electronics’ European MD, Gary Evans: “When you buy a COAX Connector you do so in the
knowledge that it has gone through a rigorous development process, and that the robust design will give you the reliable and enduring performance you require.”

signaling systems, power plants or refineries: the power supply components designed and manufactured by Camtec are chosen worldwide, wherever the requirements are exorbitantly high. Roudabout 750,000 CAMTEC devices are already in use worldwide today. The average life span of CAMTEC devices
is about 16 years plus. The power range of the long-term power-specialist company, goes from 10 Watt Din-Rail devices, to I- and U- pro-
grammable power supplies with up to 3 KW peak power. Arbitrarily scalable power modules for heavy-duty power requirements in even higher KW ranges, inrush current limiters, DIN rail DC charging rectifiers and completely wear- less solid-state relays are completing the portfolio. AC and DC input voltage ranges and variable frequencies between 47 and 63 Hz allow the 1 to 3-phase devices to be used worldwide.

High frequency chip equalizers offer excellent slope linearity
products announced the release of its new CEX Series of High Frequency Surface Mount Chip Equalizers optimized to offer precise compensation for unwanted gain variation over frequency in an RF signal chain. The CEX Series of High Frequency Surface Mount Chip Equalizers is
S
designed to offer customers a configurable design approach to get the right solution for specific frequency range and slope, fitting a wide range of requirements up to 40 GHz with a maximum slope of 4dB. “The CEX series of chip equalizers complements our existing line of SMT high frequency board level components
pushing the boundaries of size, weight and power with each new design and expanding our offering for Space, Defence and Communication systems”, says Bruce Valentine, VP of Business Development.

Physik Instrumente’s new low-cost remote set-up service arrives at a perfect time
P
hysik Instrumente customers are reaping the benefits of the company’s recently launched, low-cost, remote set-up service, designed to make initial
installation even easier than before. With ongoing travel restrictions worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on-site services are currently difficult, if not impossible, to access, a situation that is unlikely to change in the immediate future. Customers taking advantage of this latest service receive:
• remote set-up support at a convenient, prescheduled time • two hours of telephone support and screen sharing with an expert • system optimisation and tuning tailored to their application and environment. Richard Moss, Director of Global Services at PI, said: “We are delighted to offer affordable remote support to our cus-
tomers, helping them to get exceptional performance and results right from the beginning. This new service overcomes the challenge of organising on-site support in difficult circumstances, and saves our customers time and money.”

New Additions to the
ODU-Mac® Range from Selwyn Electronics
he ODU-MAC® modular range of connectors continues to grow with the addition of the Push-Lock and Zero
variations. The ODU-Mac® Push-lock offers a compact, sealed
housing with push-locking based on the ODU-MAC® Blue- Line series. Seven units can be custom fitted with hybrid connector configurations offering IP67 protection. A total of six optional coding functions and the tried-and-tested push-pull locking principle ensure mating is reliable and secure, which has been achieved from the decades of experience obtained through ODU push-pull circular connectors. The ODU-Mac® Zero with its symmetrical housing,
enables a range of up to 9 units of signal, power, data-rate and coax modules. In place of an aluminium frame, the plastic housing parts have integrated rails, making the use of magnetic components no longer necessary. 90˚,45˚and straight cable exit connector housings with a slimline, light designed receptacle for easy handling. See our website for further details.
