A broad portfolio of OLED displays now available from RDS Display solutions and embedded systems provider, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the introduction of a broad range of compact, high-performance OLED displays from leading OLED tech- nology innovator, Wisechip Semi- conductor Inc. RDS can supply and support a full and extensive portfolio of Wisechip OLED displays including dot matrix modules, character modules, circular display modules, transparent displays and flexible, plastic displays.
Offering a range of compact, highly durable, lightweight displays from 0.48-inch to 5.5-inch, the monochrome and colour OLED displays offer contrast ratios greater than 10,000:1, high luminance, fast response times of 10µs, wide viewing angles and an extended operating temperature range of up to -40°C to +85°C.

64 pixels to 1.69-inch, 160 x 128 pixels, provide exceptional optical performance in all environments, with high contrast ratios that enable deep, dark blacks and bright, clean whites and highly saturated colours. The parallel or 4-wire SPI interface supports 6-bit RGB colour data that enables a colour palette of up to 262K colours.
Key features of Wisechip OLED displays include compact mechanical dimensions, with display modules typically less than 2mm thin.
OLED displays are fully emissive, with no internal colour filter and require no additional backlight. A further, additional benefit is low power consumption.
Wisechip OLED displays are suitable for a wide range of applications including instrumentation and operator panels, wearable devices, portable, battery-powered systems and handheld devices.
World’s smallest inrush current limiter-series CAMTEC ESB001 now available worldwide CAMTEC POWER SUPPLIES, the
German acknowledged specialist for particularly robust capacitive loads and laboratory power supplies, is expanding its success- ful portfolio of AC inrush current limiters: The new CAMTEC ESB001 series is available worldwide as of now. The ESB001 inrush-cur- rent limiter series is by far world’s smallest of its performance class. It requires just 1 TE (17.5mm) space on the top-hat rail, which in just the dimension of a single-phase
circuit breaker. The series‘ name ESB stands for „EinschaltStromBe- grenzer“ - the German term for this type of device. The reason for the vast worldwide growth of demand for CAMTEC Power Supplies‘ inrush current limiters in safety-relevant grids throughout the last decade is easy to understand: In a grid using inrush current limiters, the sum of all inrush currents in the sub-distribution net are kept extremely low. This makes the net stable and fail-save. Besides: Not having to switch-on the different network areas sequentially and being able to use simpler
components in the electric system nevertheless, saves up to ten percent of the total costs, when planning light, tunnel or industrial electrical installations.
Due to the low heat production of only 1.1 W @230Vac at 99.97 % efficiency, the new ESB001 components can be mounted wall-to-wall with neighbouring devices in the control cabinet. Therefor the new ESB001 units are the perfect solution wherever space in the switch cabinet is very scarce - like in LED-retrofits in buildings or street lighting. The new, tiny design also makes them suitable for displays in shop solutions, display cases at airports or in city centres.
Beyond this, the CAMTEC ESB001 retains all the features and benefits of the inital ESB101 and ESB303 series, as well developed, designed and produced by CAMTEC Power Supplies in the Black Forest: Those are being used for more than a decade yet, wher- ever particularly reliable protection of lighting and machinery applications is required.
The global distributors will be supplying two versions of the new ESB001-series: The ESB001.LED.230VAC is perfectly supporting LED lighting networks in buildings, street lighting and tunnel lighting. The ESB001.24.230VAC is suitable for protecting against contact fires on load relays or protecting multiplexed MUX channels from damaging inrush currents in industrial surroundings.
