Aetina launches industrial MXM powered by NVIDIA Blackwell platform, empowering AMR, manufacturing and medical AI Aetina Corporation, a leading provider of Edge AI solutions,

recently announced the launch of its next-generation MXM AI Accelerator Module series accelerated by NVIDIA RTX PRO Black- well Embedded GPUs, which is part of its CoreEdge MXM AI Mod- ule family. This new series is accelerated by the NVIDIA Blackwell GPU platform to deliver up to three times the AI performance uplift of its predecessor, establishing a new benchmark for advanced AI computing at the edge.

These modules are designed to be compact, efficient and rugged, adhering to the MXM 3.1 industrial standard. They are purpose-designed for high-precision, high-density workloads in critical applications such as autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), unmanned vehicles (UAVs/UGVs), smart manufacturing equip- ment and medical and surgical assistance systems. This series brings the computing power of generative AI and physical AI closer to the edge, facilitating a comprehensive upgrade of smart applications.

Astute Group, an authorised distribution partner for Aetina, will be exhibiting at Electronica 2026 in Munich from 10–13 November, where Edge AI is one of the key themes.

NVIDIA Blackwell architecture: Proven exceptional performance

As AI applications shift from data centres to edge environ- ments, Aetina’s CoreEdge embedded MXM AI modules offer compact and industrially reliable designs featuring NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell GPUs, integrating breakthrough AI, ray tracing and neural graphics technologies.

Aetina’s flagship MX5000B-XA model, accelerated by NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell GPU, boasts 10,496 CUDA cores, 80 RT cores, and 320 Tensor cores, delivers an impressive 40.62 TFLOPS FP32 performance. Validation testing demonstrates two times faster LLM inference on the Gemma-2-9b model and 80 per cent faster AI inference performance in Geekbench AI benchmarks.

By supporting FP4 precision, DLSS 4 multi-frame generation technology, and GDDR7 memory with bandwidth up to 896 GB/s, the NVIDIA Blackwell MXM series boosts AI computing throughput by up to three times. These performance break- throughs enable deployment of advanced AI models such as large language models (LLMs) and vision transformers in space- and power-constrained edge environments, providing lower latency and higher throughput computing for demand- ing applications such as physical AI.

Aitech C165 brings modern computing to fielded VME systems

Aitech has introduced the C165 Rugged 6U VME Single Board Computer (SBC), giving defence and aerospace programmes a route to modernise fielded VME systems without moving to a new architecture. Announced earlier this month, the C165 combines an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, secure NVMe storage and cybersecurity fea- tures in a rugged 6U VME form factor.

C165 provides a VME-compatible upgrade path Aitech developed the C165 to address programmes that con- tinue to use deployed VME architectures but require higher computing performance and updated security capabilities. The company says existing VME infrastructure can remain in place, avoiding the cost, schedule disruption and technical risk associated with a complete platform redesign.

The C165 is a pin-compatible successor to Aitech’s C164 and C163 SBCs. This gives existing deployments using those boards a defined upgrade path while retaining qualified hardware, software and platform infrastructure, according to Aitech.

“Defence customers need practical modernisation solutions that improve mission capability while minimising program risk,” said Alex Trigoub, product manager at Aitech.

The board uses an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185GRE Tiger Lake UP3 processor with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics. Aitech speci- fies a two-times improvement in CPU performance per watt compared with previous-generation Aitech VME platforms, alongside more than 2.5-times higher graphics performance.

For systems handling mission computing, ISR processing, video analytics and sensor-driven workloads, the additional processing and graphics capability provides a way to in- crease performance while retaining the VME architecture already deployed.

The C165 supports up to 32GB of LPDDR4X-4267 memory with in-band ECC and up to 4TB of self-encrypted NVMe SSD storage.

Security features are provided through Aitech’s AiSecure cybersecurity framework. Aitech specifies TPM 2.0, Secure Boot and Intel Boot Guard support, alongside encrypted storage, Quick Erase and Secure Erase capabilities.
