t Labelexpo 2025, which took place this September, Lenze demonstrated how modern drive technology supports

machine builders in the printing industry in implementing modular, efficient and future-proof machine concepts. The company focused on the i950 and i750 servo inverters and the new i650 motec decentralised frequency inverter.

  The i950 servo inverter is the ideal solution for machine builders who value precise movements, flexible motor selection (servo or AC), modular fieldbus and feedback systems, as well as integrated visualisation and safety functions. Thanks to the onboard PLC, functions can be activated directly in the machine – for maximum efficiency and scalability.

With its integrated PLC with optional visualisation, the i950 sets new standards in decentralised automation. The i750 is the ideal addition for demanding multi-axis applications that place the highest demands on synchronisation and energy efficiency. Both device families offer a needs-based range of features and thus enable maximum flexibility for optimised machine configuration solutions.

  The new i650 motec expands the Lenze portfolio with an intelligent, decentralised frequency inverter. It enables decentralised standalone applications (autonomous machine modules) thanks to table positioning and Logic PLC without a higher-level controller – ideal for space-saving and cost-efficient machine solutions.

 The i650 motec is not only a powerful frequency inverter, but also an intelligent data provider. Thanks to the integrated IO-Link master functionality, machine operators receive high-quality information directly from the drive technology of IO-Link sensors. The Drives DataHub software also enables

direct access to relevant operating data and its forwarding to IIoT platforms or edge systems. This creates maximum transparency – a decisive advantage for the optimisation of production processes and predictive maintenance.

The integrated regenerative module ensures that braking energy is not lost unused in resistors, but is automatically fed back into the grid – without any additional hardware costs. In combination with IE5/IE6 synchronous motors and a compact gearbox, the result is a highly efficient drive package that not only saves space, but also significantly reduces the carbon footprint.
