KW’s new SMART-CONTROL is the first enclosure for easy installation in room corners, the company explains. The enclosures can be
mounted high up near the ceiling; this position being ideal for wide-area room monitoring, saving space and protecting the device from damage or tampering. In addition, the enclosures can also be flat wall mounted or positioned on a desk at an ergonomically inclined angle. These new enclosures are ideal for a wide range of applications –
ranging from security and monitoring technology, environmental technology, IoT/IIoT, gateways, measurement and control technology, to medical and laboratory technology. SMART-CONTROL is available in two sizes: the small version S (142 x 81 x
46mm) and the version M (173 x 101 x 59mm). The range is available from stock in the flame-resistant material ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) with high UV protection. The standard colour is off-white (RAL 9002). SMART-CONTROL consists of two separate moulded parts - the top
and bottom sections. The top section can be ordered with a smooth convex curve or with a recessed operating area for membrane keypads. There are fastening pillars in both sections for mounting PCBs and electronics. A protection class up to IP55 is possible by ordering the optional accessory seal kit. The case sections are screwed together at the rear of the enclosure
using Torx stainless steel screws. Assembly is simple and quick through snap-in installation with an adapter which is screwed directly to the enclosure. The same universal adapter is also used to mount the enclosure on a wall or, uniquely, in 90˚ inside corners. The wall suspension element is also included in the range of accessories. A desktop stand set (accessory) ensures reliable desktop positioning and an ergonomic reading angle of 45˚ when the enclosure is set up horizontally. The enclosures can be supplied fully customised with CNC machining,
printing/lettering, EMC aluminium coating and assembly processes in accordance with customer specifications.
