ENCLOSURES & PANEL BUILDING SOLUTIONS SUPPLEMENT

NEW HIGH-GLOSS STYLE-CASE HANDHELD ENCLOSURES

O

KW has launched Style-

case, a new range of high-gloss ergonomic handheld enclosures for OEM electronics. Style-case is

suitable for remote controls – notably in medical and social care, but also in many household, office and industrial applications. Its

modern high-gloss finish is pleasant to touch, imparts a high-quality user experience and is also easy to keep clean. Style-case is assembled using tamper-proof Torx screws – an

important feature for medical and wellness applications. Its operating panel is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label. There is an integrated battery compartment for two 1.5V AA cells. This compartment is accessible from the outside (via the bottom section) and features a screw-closed lid. The enclosures are moulded from high-quality traffic white (RAL

9016) ASA, for enhanced UV stability, or black (RAL 9005) PMMA, for infrared permeability. Both plastics are rated UL 94 HB for flammability. Style-case is available from February 2017 in one size: 166 x 64 x

31mm. Accessories include nickel-plated steel battery clips, a sealing kit, self-tapping screws (2.2 x 5mm PZ1) and a Torx T10 screwdriver. OKW offers customised versions of Style-case. Options include custom

colours, flame retardant (V-0) materials, EMC shielding, CNC machining and lacquering. As well as printing of parts and labels, membrane keypads, display windows, plastic and aluminium panels, and installation and assembly.
