Keraflo’s Fire Valves achieve LPCB accreditation
Keraflo’s Fire Valves have received accreditation from the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), part of the Building Research Establishment (BRE). This recognition highlights the high standards and quality of Keraflo’s products, setting a new benchmark for fire safety in commercial buildings

PCB accreditation involves rigorous testing to ensure compliance with stringent safety and performance
standards. Keraflo’s Fire Valves have passed these tests, demonstrating robust design, reliability and efficiency in critical fire safety applications. Built to perform in emergencies, the valves withstand harsh conditions, managing water flow and pressure effectively during fires. They are also compatible with various fire protection systems, making them suitable for both new installations and retrofitting into existing systems. A key feature of Keraflo’s Fire Valves is their 10-year warranty, significantly exceeding the industry standard. This warranty underscores Keraflo’s commitment to quality and provides peace of mind for users. Richard Braid, managing director of Keraflo, explains that the accreditation comes at a pivotal moment: “With the LPS 1276 standard, issued in December 2018, now officially requiring valves to conform to LPS 2083, as of 23rd May 2024, this eliminates all ambiguity and prohibits non-compliant alternatives. “The integration of LPS 2083 into the fire protection system standards is a significant step for safety, ensuring all fire valves meet strict performance criteria. This change is expected to enhance fire protection in commercial buildings and save lives. Building owners and contractors must now ensure compliance and update existing systems accordingly.” For more information on Keraflo visit
