EDITOR’S COMMENT & CONTENTS BSF tackles safety & performance

T

his month, The Building Services Forum is back with a stellar line up or speakers addressing the importance of improving performance and safety in public buildings.

The forum will be hosted by freelance journalist and PR consultant Ewen Rose and will be held at the Building Centre in London on 22 May. Public buildings, including schools and hospitals, accommodate millions of people daily, meaning safety and performance cannot be overemphasised. These buildings must not only meet safety standards to avoid risk to occupants, but also adhere to strict building codes and regulations. Improving performance is just as important, especially when it comes to energy efficiency, and the resulting lowering of operational costs and boost to environmental sustainability.

This May, the Building Services Forum is welcoming an 12 14

exciting panel of speakers from across the sector who will be addressing these key issues. Speakers represent important players in buildings services including headline sponsor Mitsubishi Electric, Alfa Laval, Ambar Kelly, Breathing Buildings, Klima- Therm and DMA Group. There is also a talk from the British Board of Agrement

and renewable energy group, Octopus Energy. The day will culminate in a panel discussion in which the key takeaways from the forum will be hashed out. If you have an interest in performance and safety of public buildings, then the Building Services Forum is the place to be.
