HEAT RECOVERY
Heat recovery in action Integrating energy efficient technologies and innovative solutions can optimise
energy output and reduce costs in data centres. Moreover, the energy efficiency of data centres can be improved by relocating them to the outskirts of urban areas. This approach helps balance the cooling demand of the facilities with environmental concerns. Smaller, local data centres offer significant energy saving potential because, rather than rejecting and wasting the heat, it can be used for district heating systems or to serve neighbouring properties. Klima-Therm, for example, completed a data centre project in Tower Hamlets, London, where planning conditions dictated that the client install a heat recovery loop to serve a residential development adjacent to the data centre. This aligns with the ‘smart cities’ concept, where the by-product of one process is used to perform another job.
Advanced heat pumps, such as the four-pipe Rhoss EXP heat pumps, offer simultaneous and independent cooling and heating from the same plant. This means that a cooling system can easily become a complete cooling and heating solution, even including domestic hot water production, thereby obtaining a double output from a single unit with one expense.

Welcome to IV Produkt
ince 1969, we have worked for a sustainable future. We develop and manufacture air handling units that save energy and create a better indoor climate in schools, hospitals, arenas, blocks of flats, and other buildings across Europe. With head office, production and owner all based in Växjö, Sweden, the business is characterised by long-term visions and short decision paths. Our extensive experience has given us valuable insights and in combination with an innovative mind-set and proven methods, we lead the evolution. At IV Produkt, you are greeted by dedicated colleagues, who are happy to help and share their knowledge. We are continuing to grow, and we have great plans for the future!

and coolants. This heat can then be transferred to a heat exchange system, where heat pumps or other heating systems raise the temperature to the desired level. The recovered heat is distributed through dedicated networks to end-users for applications like district heating, agricultural purposes, or industrial needs. Heat pumps can help in the heat recovery process by capturing and reusing waste heat, raising it to a higher temperature for various applications, according to the European Heat Pump Association. It adds: “With 17,000 district heating and networks serving 67 million Europeans across the continent, waste heat recovery is an established solution in urban areas.” The excess heat from servers in data centres is typically low in temperature and considered low-grade. This makes it difficult to reuse directly for other applications. Heat pumps can overcome this challenge by absorbing thermal energy from lower temperature sources and transferring it to higher temperature environments. A typical industrial heat pump, for example, can raise temperatures to 60°C or more, while multi-stage heat pumps can achieve temperatures of 150°C or higher. This capability allows heat pumps to capture and recycle the excess heat generated by data centres. The recycled heat can then be transferred to various systems where it can be converted into useful heat energy. This includes district heating initiatives that benefit local communities and other facilities, such as agricultural applications, industrial applications and more.
Technical Sales Managers Due to our continued success in market share growth, we are looking for ambitious Technical Sales Managers to join our sales development team in the UK. Ideally based in the London/Home Counties, Northern or Northwest England.
IV Produkt is a leading Swedish Air Handling Unit (AHU) manufacturer, that delivers energy-efficient, high quality air handling units to commercial and public premises across Northern Europe. Our unrivalled innovative products with reversible heat pumps, Easy Access and Cloud connections are very well received on the market. We have consistently grown our organic UK market share year on year.
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking business.
As a Technical Sales Manager you will have the responsibility to develop sales to a responsive customer base. You will be empowered to manage your geographic area, making customer visits, producing product selections and commercial quotations with the assistance of our inhouse state of the art design and quotation software.
You will already have experience in the air handling unit or similar indoor climate sectors from either a ‘hands on’ technical or sales background. Training will be given both on joining and as part of continuing personal development.
We would very much like to talk to you. Please contact us and apply at:
