Big Year, Bigger Impact: Conex Bänninger to unveil new look with larger stand at InstallerSHOW

C

onex Bänninger, a global leader in plumbing fittings and valves, will unveil its new corporate branding for the first time in the UK at InstallerSHOW. The brand refresh coincides with the company’s 115th anniversary.

This year, the stand (5C30) features a larger display area than in 2024 and is positioned in a more

prominent location. Tom Mason, Marketing Manager – UK & Ireland, commented: “We will be showcasing our innovative

>B< Press range for water and heating, our award-winning >B< MaxiPro range for air conditioning and refrigeration, as well as our Conex Compression range and stainless-steel offerings. “Throughout the show, we’ll be making major announcements and inviting visitors to participate in

exciting competitions. Our 115 Darts Challenge will offer a chance to win great daily prizes to each winner, along with promotional merchandise. On the second day, we’ll celebrate with an anniversary cake. Light refreshments will also be served, and we look forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces.”

NEW DESIGN ENVELOPE TANGO ENSURES UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE, EVEN DURING MAINTENANCE

nnovative valve design means the pump can be

serviced without interrupting flow or affecting occupant comfort. Armstrong has

introduced new larger sizes of the Design Envelope Tango, a compact, low-carbon dual pump that ensures uninterrupted service, even during maintenance. The Design Envelope Tango includes two motors and two impeller assemblies in a single casing. Integrated valves can isolate one side of the pump for service, without interrupting flow or affecting occupant comfort. New sizes are now available with motors ranging from 15 to 40 horsepower and are capable of serving applications up to 120 L/s. Design Envelope Tango is a compact solution that combines built-in parallel pumping with leading

performance and reduced installation costs. Because the two rotating devices share a single casing, installation requires less piping. In addition, the Vertical In-Line orientation means the pump is installed in the piping and does not require an inertia base. Design Envelope technology includes patented Parallel Sensorless operation, increases flow turn-

down and provides built-in flow metering for superior flow control. The energy-efficient design of the Tango reduces operating costs by up to 80% and lifecycle costs by up to 40%. As Tango provides an effective alternative to full duty standby, it can also reduce embodied carbon. The value of Design Envelope pumps is augmented by Pump Manager, a cloud-based service that

provides smart analytics, diagnostics, and alerts to support HVAC system efficiency. All Armstrong 360 Service and Support programs optimize the lifetime performance of HVAC systems.

and maintenance: DAB Pumps puts the spotlight on its Genix Range of

Making light work of wastewater D I

AB Pumps’ Genix range of automatic lifting stations are easy to install, operate and maintain across a wide range of domestic and light commercial applications.

Available in Genix, Genix WL and Genix VT models, the system offers a

quiet, reliable solution for managing wastewater in spaces where gravity drainage isn’t an option. To ensure installers won’t be overwhelmed by complex options, the range has been cleverly streamlined to just three core models that cover a wide range of installation requirements. The Genix and Genix WL, with a newly designed, robust macerator and an anti-odour system, are suitable for toilets, showers, washbasins or bidets, while the Genix VT, which works at temperatures up to 90°C, has been developed specifically for grey water applications, such as sinks, washing machines or dishwashers. The Genix version has a frontal WC discharge while the Genix WL version has a side toilet outlet, specially designed for use with wall-hung sanitary ware or where the space behind the toilet is too small for the standard Genix. Each version comes in a 110 model that allows for one additional utility such as a sink and a 130 model that expands this to three additional utilities, including low-drain appliances like showers, bidets or bathtubs. The VT versions follow the same model pattern: Genix VT 010 allows one grey water connection while VT 030 supports up to three. All models in the range are designed to operate quietly and reliably, even in demanding

environments. For even quieter operation, the Genix and Genix WL are also available in a comfort version with noise-reducing construction features, making it ideal for residential installations. Installation has been designed to be as quick and hassle-free as possible. Every Genix unit comes with

a complete kit, including non-return valve fittings, rotating delivery pipe, hose clamps and adaptors, ground fixing screws and integrated quick couplings to suit different pipe diameters. With everything in the box, a clear, compact design and a fully illustrated quick guide, Genix helps installers save time and avoid unnecessary complications – even in tight or retrofit spaces. Maintenance is another area where Genix stands apart. Blocked macerators are a real headache,

often caused by misuse, from nappies and wipes to accidental objects flushed down the system. Traditionally, fixing this means removing the unit or cutting pipes – a messy, time-consuming job. Genix avoids all this. For ‘clean’ maintenance, the motor block can be unhooked from the unit by emptying the water using a special nozzle, without disturbing any pipework. There’s easy access to the capacitor, electronic board and pressure switch, and to the grinding blades should the unit need unblocking, keeping downtime to a minimum and simplifying ongoing care. With a compact footprint, flexible configurations and everything you need in the box, Genix makes it

easy to install WCs or grey water connections wherever they’re needed – and just as easy to look after them once they’re in.

Nuaire shares expertise at Specifi Mechanical Services events in 2025

ndoor air quality and ventilation manufacturing specialist Nuaire is pleased to be exhibiting at the Specifi Mechanical Services events once again in 2025. Nuaire personnel with extensive experience in specification will be ready to provide visitors with invaluable advice on everything from latest regulations and best practice through to product selection for specific projects. Unlike large exhibitions which require a full day’s excursion, Specifi is a series of smaller, more relaxed

events held around the UK. Nuaire has already attended Specifi Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham this year and will be exhibiting at London on the 8th April and 2nd December, Liverpool on 22nd July, Edinburgh on 3rd September and Leeds on 4th November. Whilst Nuaire is primarily using Specifi as a networking event where it can talk in person to specifiers about their work and the challenges they face when it comes to ventilation, key products will be highlighted across the shows. These include the Xboxer heat recovery range; the BPS-ECO-HP boxed packaged solution range of Air Handling Units with integrated heat pump charged with R32 refrigerant; and the Hybrid Cooling System, which is an ancillary cooling module that works with the existing Nuaire MRXBOX MVHR products to provide a hybrid MVHR and cooling system for high-rise new builds. Established in 1966, and

working across the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, Nuaire’s knowledge of the UK ventilation market is both expansive and in-depth. For more information on Nuaire visit www.nuaire.co.uk or contact enquiries@nuaire.co.uk.
