on to Mitsubishi Electric’s air conditioning for both new and existing indoor units across the M Series, Mr Slim and City Multi ranges. Unique to the manufacturer, Plasma Quad Connect works like an electrical curtain to catch and neutralise even microscopic particles in the air, to significantly improve indoor air quality.

New bolton air purifier neutralises indoor pollutants The technology, has been independently

tested against SARSCoV2 by the Microbial Testing Laboratory, Japan Textile Quality and Technology Centre in Kobe, Japan. Plasma Quad Connect has also been found to be effective against bacteria, dust, viruses, mould and allergens such as pollen, in addition to microscopic particles down to PM2.5. “There’s a lot of debate around indoor air

quality, especially as we look to move back into offices and buildings and good ventilation is the first thing any business should look at,” explains Mark Grayston, Product Marketing Manager for Mitsubishi Electric. “At the same time, air conditioning with good filtration can play a significant role in optimising indoor air quality.”

the installer, it means an additional feature to offer clients and for the wholesaler it provides the potential for increased sales. ESP’s 2MP Rekor IP Kits, which are available with a choice of dome or bullet cameras, will now have the additional option of those cameras being offered in either the new grey, or white finish. These 4 channel CCTV systems are available as two or four camera kits and provide all the component parts required to get a professional system up and running in one box. Selected cameras in the HDview IP 5MP range are also now available in a choice of grey and white. These include the 2.812mm lens bullet and dome cameras, the 3.6mm lens bullet and dome cameras, as well as the 2.812mm lens vandal resistant dome cameras.

ROCKWOOL® expands flat roof range

n its latest step to help specifiers and contractors mitigate fire risk in the fifth façade, ROCKWOOL has launched HARDROCK UB34, an insulation solution specially designed for parapet walls and upstands on flat roofs which is noncombustible in case of fire. A robust, thermally efficient upstand insulation board, UB34

combines a dense 50mm slab of ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation bonded to a rigid 6mm fibre cement board making it impact and weather resistant. HARDROCK UB34 has been fully tested and classified as Euroclass A2s1, d0, meaning

it’s suitable for use on buildings over 18 metres that are affected by the ban on combustible materials. “UB34 helps specifiers and contractors mitigate fire risk by providing a durable, non

combustible insulation solution compliant with the latest guidance for buildings over 18m,” said Will Wigfield, Product Manager – Building Envelope at ROCKWOOL UK. “A purpose designed solution, it’s easy to install – and its stone wool core provides an excellent thermal performance.” HARDROCK UB34 is manufactured with a ROCKWOOL base slab, and has thermal

conductivity of 0.034 W/mK, helping to reduce thermal bridging through roof upstands. The board is compatible with a range of flat roof systems, including singleply and inverted.

The Aquarea air source heat pump Panasonic’s quiet revolution in providing heating…

A

s many of us get used to the reality of spending more time at home, the benefits of having a quiet, yet extremely efficient heating and domestic hot

water system have become more obvious. Switching technologies from traditional systems

powered by Mains Gas, Oil or L.P.G. to an Air Source Heat Pump can deliver significant cost savings, improvements to heating performance and low sound levels, thanks to Panasonic’s Aquarea Heat Pump Range this is possible. According to independent tests, the Panasonic Aquarea J Generation R32 Mini Monobloc range and 16kW BiBloc TCap Super Quiet airto water heat pumps have been confirmed to have impressively low levels of noise when in operation. The independent testing was carried out by the Danish Technological Institute in Denmark with results confirming that the new Aquarea Monobloc 5kW, 7kW and 9kW SuperQuiet Bibloc 16kW TCAP Aquarea Airtowater heat pumps came out with market leading low noise levels, with 60dB(A)1 whilst operating at full load. The tests were carried out for the sound power level according to EN 121021:2017 for full load and Quiet mode 3 at A7/W55. In Quiet mode operation, Aquarea heat pumps can operate at a further 4dB(A) reduced noise level.

Technical Knockout: GF Piping Systems new allplastic Butterfly Valve 565 beats metal in every round

G

F Piping Systems today launches its new Butterfly Valve 565 onto the market. The highly reliable, costeffective,

lightweight, allplastic valve produced in Switzerland proves its clear superiority over metal valves in water treatment and a wide range of other applications. Butterfly Valve 565 is strong but lightweight,

consisting of highperformance plastic components. It is suitable for up to 16 bars, and tough temperature ranges from 10°C to +80°C.

Direct Replacement Designed to be quick and easy to install, Butterfly Valve 565 comes in the same installation length as metal valves (ISO 5752 Row 20), therefore avoiding costly modifications on the existing piping systems, a clear advantage over its metal opponent.

60% lighter The Butterfly Valve 565 is 60% lighter than a comparable metal valve, so a single technician can safely and easily handle it during installation. This also facilitates planning, since the lower weight significantly reduces the need for costly transportation and personnel.

Highly Reliable The Butterfly Valve 565 built to last. Metal butterfly valves suffer from wear – whether due to corrosion, contamination, or extended use – they are not as durable and need to be replaced. The resulting downtime leads to delays in operations, additional installation and purchasing costs. The Butterfly Valve 565 is made from highperformance thermoplastics to protect it from abrasion and corrosion, securing a longer service life in water flow applications and a greater contribution to a more sustainable world.

Reduced costs With the initial cost being comparable to metal solutions, the Butterfly Valve 565 outperforms its metal counterparts throughout its service life, reducing maintenance costs, thanks to its superior materials and design. "The Butterfly Valve 565 is a complete solution

for the water segment which solves all of the typical problems customers have been experiencing with metal valves," says Thomas Kuessner, Head of Product Management Valves.
