ripple, a global leading manufacturer and mechanical services specialist, has added new products and developed others in its piping

range to add breadth, depth, strength and more solutions for easier and quicker heating installation of all pipework applications. Notable improvements are in Gripple’s Universal

Clamp range for the suspension of pipe from 15mm copper to 6” steel, replacing more than 13 different pipe ring sizes with one product. This development improves functionality and robustness, as well as adding new variants to the range for better suitability using larger diameter pipe. A new acoustic Universal Clamp has been developed

specifically for projects where noise reduction is a key criterion, for instance in offices, hospitals and theatres. The technical development of the rubber pad component, together with the replacement of the nylon sleeve with pre‐cut rubber tubing, achieves a market leading 23dBa noise reduction. Also, newly offered by Gripple is a Wall Bracket, utilising the unique quick twist attachments and Universal Brackets which adds depth to the company’s pipework solutions range for non‐ suspended applications. The Wall Bracket is supplied pre‐assembled to a Gripple Universal Bracket as a complete system. They enable pipework to be installed and supported close to a wall or soffit, cantilevered or parallel, using traditional mechanical fixings.

WHAT’S NEWBSEE Get the right size hot

water heating, is a Site Sizing Service designed to give the right amount of hot water delivery to meet existing and planned needs. The service is available over email, iPhone and site visit ‐ to give contractors and users the right mix of products and system which fit the needs of the site, rather than a 'one size fits all approach' seen with traditional hot water heating systems. "Every site is different, as all installers know, and the

N

tradition of oversizing a system 'just in case' is a very costly way for a site to have hot water on demand. The very basis of our product concept is that the end‐user only pays for the fuel to heat the hot water at the point of use. There are very few sites that might need a stored hot water facility ‐ but this is very expensive ‐ its rather like keeping a car's engine running just in case you want to drive it. It is as simple as that," says Rinnai head of Operations, Chris Goggin. He adds, "We are inviting contractors, designers,

installers, end‐users and consultants to contact us to discuss their new installations so that we can recommend the right system specific to the site. Our product can cope with virtually any size of commercial site ‐ hotels, hospitals, schools, office blocks and larger residential properties ‐ right through to Government departments such as the Welsh Office or 350 plus bed hotels. The complete, bespoke, personalised system is designed for the specific need of the site or user and we have a proven record of adding significant value to our customers.” For more information on the RINNAI product

Panasonic launches new generation of gas‐driven VRF

water solution to large‐scale commercial projects. Panasonic’s efficient gas heat pump (GHP) units utilise a gas‐powered engine to deliver powerful heating, cooling and hot water. The use of a gas‐ driven engine reduces the consumption of electricity to just 9% of an equivalent‐sized electricity‐powered VRF solution. The low electricity consumption ensures that Panasonic’s GHP range is the ideal solution for projects where there are restrictions to the power supply, enabling the building’s power supply to be used for other critical infrastructure such IT servers, commercial refrigeration and other building services. The GHP runs on either natural gas or LPG and just a single‐phase power supply, which reduces the capital cost required to upgrade power substations to run heating and cooling systems. The GE3 range can offer 100% heating capacity and DHW at temperatures as low as ‐20°C without requiring a defrost process. To further optimise efficiency, multiple units can be combined in configurations up to 60 HP, providing a full‐scale heating, cooling and hot water solution. For more information, visit
