Climate has overhauled its popular Beermaster range to meet the market’s need for a contemporary fullsystem solution as a result of longterm closures across the hospitality sectors. Designed to meet the demands of the
modern cellar cooling system, the new Beermaster range comes with multiple improvements. With noise being of notable concern to end users, the new Beermaster’s design now features a lownoise external rotor design, improving sound performance by 3dBa. The updated technology is also smaller in
footprint and includes highefficiency EC fans and ZS scroll compressors. In addition, the new models utilise low GWP
refrigerants 448A and 449A – an essential consideration for installers looking to future proof their customer’s cooling system in line with Fgas regulations. The new generation has also been designed
with easy installation and maintenance in mind. A new mechanical pressure switch, positive control fascia buttons and easy
maintenance access means installers can be reassured that ease of fitting and servicing is straightforward and convenient. Alongside this, its slave and master system
can meet cooling capacities between 3 and 15kW and has rated ambient temperatures of up to 38°C, all featured within a highly flexible modular system. As a result of these changes, the
Beermaster system’s COP has increased by up to 10%, significantly lowering the operating costs for the enduser and improving the equipment’s longterm environmental impact. Recent independent test results In a European first, Texcell*1, a global contract research organisation, has certified the inhibitory effect on the novel coronavirus (SARSCoV2) by an air conditioner with nanoe™ X (unit used in test previous model: Etherea CSZ25VKEW generating up to 4.8 trillion hydroxyl radicals per second). Texcell has now certified that the nanoe™ X does have a 91.4% inhibitory effect on the novel coronavirus in an actual space of 6.7m3 over 8 hours using the air conditioner with nanoe™ X. Comparing the methods in both potable and nonpotable water

samples, the study concluded that the “Legiolert method performed as well as the standard NEN 6265 method in detection of Legionella pneumophila in potable and nonpotable water samples. In non potable water Legiolert is a better method for detection of Legionella pneumophila than culturing on solid media due to disturbing overgrowth of other bacteria on those plates, which is not a factor of concern with Legiolert.” According to data from cultures of 4,719 patients over seven years in
17 countries,1 Legionella. pneumophila causes 97% of Legionnaires’ disease cases. Nonpotable sources of Legionella pneumophila include evaporative cooling systems, and data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) show that in the U.S., Legionella pneumophila has been the only cause of cooling tower related disease outbreaks.2 This latest study confirms conclusions from other trials conducted with Legiolert. New bowls club facilities benefits from heating, cooling and hot water expertise
system at its impressive new home. After 112 years at York Road, Maidenhead, The Bowling Club moved

in May 2019 to a brand new purposebuilt Club situated in Green Lane, Maidenhead. The new club facilities include indoor bowling on 8 rinks and a 6 rink outdoor green. There are also full bar and catering facilities on site, with an excellent and comfortable lounge bar and seating areas for up to 150 people. The new site benefits from ample car parking with 107 car spaces and 2 coach spaces. Setpoint Solutions was appointed to assist with the design, supply and
installation of the new system. The company turned to LG for the equipment that was needed to deliver the installation to the highest of Sports England building standards, working alongside construction company Wren on the project. It was a tight timescale to turn around a project of this size and complexity, but the installation was completed
within the seven weeks allowed for the work. The biggest challenge of the project was the heating and cooling for the indoor green area – a massive area measuring 40 metres by 40 metres, with a ceiling height of 8 metres. Setpoint’s Jody Lees proposed the LG Multi V5 25kW high static
ducted units for the job which cope well with long piping distances between condensers and fan coils. The bar lounge, changing rooms and office areas are served with LG’s efficient ceiling mounted cassettes and heat recovery ventilation units which are linked to a 25kW LG Hydro kit which provides the lowpressure hot water heating circuit. The complete solution is operated by the LG Touch Screen Controller and maximises efficiency while also reducing running costs for the Club.
