The specialist service room used by Ash Safety to service their MSA units must be kept at a relative humidity consistently below 19%, in
room temperature of around 18C,

recommended the Cotes All- Round C30 desiccant dehumidifier with a DA 20 Controller to adjust the set point. Since installation,

Luceco recently supplied amenity street lighng to premier grocery store chain in north Mexico. SMart boasts 84 outlets in major locaons including Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Monterrey, Reynosa, Nuevo Laredo and Matamoros.
In partnership with distributor Miscelec, Luceco has supplied LSAL Area 200W LED luminaires to a number of S- mart’s stores, with further retrofits taking place this year. Luceco’s lighting solution creates greatly improved parking facilities for customers as well cost effective, safe and energy efficient environments with substantially reduced maintenance costs for S-Mart. LSAL Area is available with a wall, square or round column mount or as used at S-Mart, a
slip-fitter mount with outreach arms to create the required lighting distribution. Square pole and wall mount adapters are compatible with NEMA connections for photo cell control and ANSI options for dimming and wireless control compatibility. The lantern has a slim profile die-cast aluminium housing, stylishly finished in dark bronze and a long life, IP66 rated lens optic, providing 50,000 hours of operation.

A Grade 1 listed spa dang from the 1780s has undergone extensive restoraon and reconstrucon to create a new leisure complex, fit to meet mulple commercial, technical and environmental challenges, with the building services specialist involved making use of two tried and tested systems from the range of GF Piping Systems.
A Grade 1 listed spa dating from the 1780s has undergone extensive restoration and reconstruction to create a new leisure complex, fit to meet multiple commercial, technical and environmental challenges, with the building services specialist involved making use of two tried and tested systems from the range of GF Piping Systems. IMTECH Engineering Services is the nationally renowned M&E contractor undertaking all of the HEVAC installation work. This multi-faceted work includes heating, hot & cold water services and air conditioning for the 81 bedrooms and 21 treatment rooms within the five-star spa complex, as well as the harvesting of heat energy from the natural thermal springs which run beneath the crescent, to feed a ground source heat pump. The Instaflex is run throughout the service corridor in sizes from 16mm up to 108 mm, carrying all the hot and cold water, boosted
water and the heating system’s primary circuits. Produced from polybutene, INSTAFLEX is highly resistant to corrosion and chemical attack, making it an ideal specification for both commercial and potable water services applications. The system not only offers a long, low maintenance life and high performance characteristics, but is also flexible in use, taking it from the basement plant areas to the outlets. Instaflex includes a full selection of pipe diameters as well as different jointing methods and fittings. The PVC-C product range in turn offers a comprehensive choice of couplings, valves and other accessories, applicable to industrial and commercial applications, including where high pressure and the avoidance of contamination are paramount.

Turnkey Cooling Project Integrates Seamlessly with Royal Papworth Hospital Energy Centre
Carrier Rental Systems has supplied 1.6MW of auxiliary cooling for Royal Papworth Hospital’s site in Cambridge. The system maintains ideal temperatures and humidity in crical areas of the hospital, helping to provide a healthy indoor air environment for paents and sta.
Additional cooling was required to support the hospital’s energy centre to ensure optimum conditions were maintained throughout the building during peak times. The turnkey project for main contractor Skanska included the supply of four high-performance chillers, remote power generators, crane lift equipment, scaffolding and pipework insulation. At the heart of the site’s energy centre is a large tank that acts as a thermal store, based on 20% glycol in water. Carrier Rental Systems supplied four Carrier AquaSnap 30RB402 air- cooled liquid chillers running on R410A refrigerant, operating in two pairs configured in series. Bespoke manifolds were created to make connection easier and ensure greater control.
The chillers, positioned on the roof, are powered by two SLD diesel generators, each supplying 500kVA of remote power. Due to the close proximity to the hospital, acoustic attenuation barriers are used around the chillers and generators to acoustically seal them and ensure low noise for patients and staff. Plant control and integration were important aspects of the project. Flow meters and temperature sensors were installed at key points in the cooling circuit to improve control and optimise performance.
