Manchester, home to Amazon’s first UK corporate office facility outside of London. The building is situated on the corner of Corporation Street and Hanover Street, between Victoria station and Shudehill and is providing 90,000sq.ft. of office space for 600 Amazon employees spread over its six storeys.


The Metalynx² 32A system has been utilised to serve all underfloor services throughout


the six floors, using 6 port Main Distribution Boxes (MDBs) which are connected to 6way underfloor boxes with tapoffs which, in turn, feed RCBO modules onto under desk modules. All RCBO and under desk modules have been connected using Wieland’s gesis systems. Wieland’s Metalynx2


structured wiring system is perfect for power distribution, lighting


control (including DALI and KNX) and fan coil units, with the facility for customising the Metalynx2
