Pressure monitoring using an app and Bluetooth

Measurement solutions with a combination of digital pressure gauge and smartphone

monitoring the industrial process parameters including pressure and temperature. This form of smart connectivity is suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly mobile. In this article, we look at different applications for pressure and temperature monitoring using Bluetooth communication using WIKA’s CPG1500 digital pressure gauge.

HOW DOES THE CPG1500 DATA LOGGING

FUNCTIONALITY WORK?

The CPG1500 data logger has scan rates up to 50 readings/sec with a logging interval of 1 sec. The data is transmitted via a Bluetooth interface to the user’s smartphone, while still allowing the user to manually use the display menus if needed.

easurement solutions featuring wireless communication add flexibility and efficiency when

The operator can have quick access to monitor pressure and temperature using the myWIKA device app for iOS and Android. The app allows the user also to download the data log files from the CPG1500 memory. This free of charge app can be downloaded from the different app stores and supports both Low Energy (BLE) and Classic Bluetooth transmission modes. Another solution offered with the CPG1500 is the user-friendly WIKA- DCS software tool developed to easily download and view the data on any laptop or tablet. Using a tablet with the WIKA-DCS software tool gives the operators/users the mobility and easy remote local access to the CPG1500 readings and data logging files. The software tool was developed to be

software very easy to setup. The downloaded data can be viewed with a plotted graph for the pressure and temperature profile for all the logged pressure and temperature values. All points in the log file are time stamped – a very important feature for data integrity in many industries. The downloaded pressure and temperature log file can also be easily exported to a CSV file.
