colighting UK has announced some new strategic changes to its management structure with a number of newly appointed senior managers. Steve Gardner, previously Business Development Director at Ecolighting has been appointed Managing Director, and Martin Needham, the company’s former MD now becomes chairman. The company has also recruited Tony Smith as its new Area Sales Manager, Michael Woodfield as an additional project manager to complement the existing team, promoted Steve Jones to Estimations Manager and Phil Jenner to Service Manager. The new management changes are designed to build on the


company’s ongoing success and will further increase innovation and product development in LED and drive more sales for a greater market share. Ecolighting MD Steve Gardner is delighted with the company’s


progress commenting, “Last year we won some significant projects around the country. To accommodate the increasing demand for Ecolighting’s products, we have made changes to our management team which include new sales, project and customer services managers, and all of these will strengthen our company in these key areas.” Area Sales Manager, Tony Smith, will now be working alongside the key accounts manager and electrical estimations manager on the company’s sales and marketing, customer requirements and customer liaisons. Project Manager, Michael Woodfield, has worked in the electrical industry for over 20 years, with particular involvement in electrical and lighting installation. In alignment with Ecolighting’s new strategic direction, Michael’s duties include validation and verification of projects. Phil Jenner is Ecolighting’s newly appointed Services


Manager, whose role is to lead and motivate the customer service team when dealing with the company’s clients. He will be working alongside the company’s inventory and compliance manager, project managers and drawing design manager and managing the site engineers who work on electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

Fully compliant with the new 18th edition wiring regulations, Lewden has introduced a new and improved range of attractively designed consumer units with added features. Lewden has also introduced a new range of SPDs in Type 2 and Combined Type 1,2 & 3. To allow for the installation of SPD, one extra module of space has been provided within the new consumer units, without increasing the overall dimensions of the enclosure. Two additional 32mm circular knockouts, positioned at the top and bottom, in line with the main switch, have also been provided to accept the mains tail cable glands. Lid earth connected directly to an additional way provided on the earth bar ensures ease of installation. To allow for the fitting of mains tail clamp, fixing holes have been provided in the DIN rail at the main switch position. The accessories will now also include two cable grommets, one of each size 40mmx25mm and 50mmx50mm.
