elcome to theMarch issue of Electrical Engineering Magazine. March has been an exciting and dynamic month for the electrical engineering sector, particularly within the data centre industry. We were invited, on the 11th, to witness innovation and future-focused development firsthand with

AVK and Pure Data Centres, where we toured their brand-new facility, and sat down with AVK's own, Paul Hood, to chat about the company, his beginnings in data centres and what he foresees for the future of data centre infrastructure. (P.26). Alongside this, we were proud to continue ourmedia partnership with Data CentreWorld London, on the 4th and 5th, for the second year running, gaining further insight into this rapidly evolving space. One of the standout moments from the event was the incredible turnout for Louis Theroux. Attendees

began queueing early, with anticipation building ahead of his 9:30 appearance, creating a real buzz across the exhibition hall. We also had the chance to speak with a number of exhibitors. EMCOR UK kindly sat down with us to

discuss their third year at the show, where their focus was on exploring with visitors the ‘value they bring to clients.’ Having previously exhibited to ‘boost brand visibility,’ they shared how their presence continues to evolve. They also offered fascinating insights into their developing relationship with OCS following this year’s acquisition. As St Patrick’s Day celebrations took place across Ireland, the EE team travelled to Dublin to attend a

two-day event hosted by Pure Data Centres Group and AVK. This included an in-depth tour of their impressive facility in Fingal, providing a valuable opportunity to experience the scale of innovation and infrastructure driving the industry forward. A particular highlight of the trip was meeting the Mayor of Fingal County Council, Councillor Tom O’Leary.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, exchange perspectives and discuss the future of the sector within the region. If you missed our Data CentreWorld show issue, be sure to visit our website

Enjoy!
