Discussion will revolve around the devices related to evacuation, such as panels and alarms, the NFCC’s current standing on the stay put policy, temporary alarm installations to replace Waking Watch patrols, and other related issues. Thanks to session sponsor, Securiton AG.

SPEAKERS • Gerry Dunphy, Strategy Director, IFSEC & FIREX International • Russ Timpson, Managing Director, Crisiboardroom & Tall Buildings Fire Safety Network • Richard Clark, Senior Fire Engineer, National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) • Andy Scott, Chair of BSI FSH/12/5 fire alarm devices and Director at C-TEC

THURSDAY 24 JUNE

10:00 – Polyseam Tech Talk 14:00 – Making Buildings Safer

The webinar will focus on the legislative and systemic changes required in fire safety, and wider building sector, to ensure buildings are made safer for occupants. It will have a particular focus on the incoming legislation, including the Building Safety Bill, Fire Safety Bill, and proposed changes to the Fire Safety Order (2005). Are the proposals enough? And crucially, how does the sector work to encourage a wide adoption of a new safety- conscious culture in construction and building safety – from planning through to occupation.

SPEAKERS • James Moore, Editor, IFSEC Global • Ian Moore, CEO, FIA • Dennis Davis, Executive Officer, Fire Sector Federation • Niall Rowan, Technical & Regulatory Affairs Officer, ASFP • Jonathan O’Neill, OBE, Managing Director, FPA
