HBM Introduces Latest Addition to CFT Piezoelectric Range F

or applications that require the coverage of a wide measuring range, such as presses with a large force measurement range, HBM – a market

SCTL55 IO-Link Smart Configurator

Making a laborious task easy

that significantly simplifies the configuration, adjustment and diagnosis of many IO-Link Sensors. Making every minute matter. The SCTL55 can aid troubleshooting and improve your

production processes by providing data on sensor status, including current temperature, quality of run and process data and easily change the operating sensor parameters, such as switch point mode, sensing distance, timing functions, output configuration (PNP/NPN/push-pull, NO/NC), to better meet the process requirements. The smart configurator operates on the Android

platform and is housed in a polycarbonate body rated IP30 and comes complete with a 5.5” HD touch screen and dedicated apps to help you access advanced diagnostics, check operating hours, number of detections, operating cycles, alarms events and much more.

arlo Gavazzi have launched the SCTL55 IO-Link smart configurator, a user-friendly wireless handheld solution

leader in the field of test and measurement – has introduced the new CFTplus force transducer, which features improved accuracy and calibration in three measuring ranges. Designed for industrial applications, particularly within the manufacturing sector, the new CFTplus series is calibrated for the measuring ranges; 1%, 10% and 100%, and can be used immediately on installation. Featuring a high degree of rigidity and a rugged design, the latest series is particularly useful for use in adverse environments. Elimination of drift, which is often seen as a frustrating effect, is also dramatically reduced, providing the user with more accurate results. Designed with the user in mind, the mechanical connection has a flange screw on both sides and a central bore, meaning that the new CFTplus force transducer can be easily and quickly integrated into existing systems, which can help to achieve substantial time savings. Available with four different capacities of 25kN, 50kN, 70kN and 120kN, the CFTplus is the latest offering from the PACEline range of products now available from HBM. The PACEline range is suitable for use in force and strain measurement technology and is based on the piezoelectric effect.

Rear mounting option available for Han® metal hoods and housings

simplifies the preassembly of interfaces for control cabinets. With the new Han® metal housings, it is possible to lock the prefabricated

T

inserts directly from the rear into the bulkhead mounting housing from the interior of a control cabinet. In the past, Han® inserts had to be conducted from the inside of the cabinet through the panel cutout, before they could be preassembled outside. After that, they were pushed back and fixed into the bulkhead mounted housing. In the newly designed metal hoods and housings, the insulation bodies are

inserted into a plastic holding frame that snaps safely into the aluminum die- cast enclosure, supported by a lug.

BB has won “Contribution to Skills and Training” at the annual Motion Control Industry (MCI) awards. The prize recognises ABB’s

commitment to helping industries to tackle their biggest challenges – from cutting energy consumption and CO2 emissions to reducing the millions of litres of clean drinking water lost through leakage. ABB offers more than 30 courses, several of which are CPD (continuous professional development) accredited. Targeting end users, contractors, consultants, machine builders and OEMs, the courses aim to improve engineering expertise, tackle technical challenges and improve operational knowledge of applying variable speed drives and

motors. ABB’s courses have upskilled thousands of engineers, managers and apprentices from a diverse range of industries. Trainees can choose between eLearning, hands-on training sessions at a site of their choice, or courses at ABB’s bespoke training school in Coalville, Leicestershire.

HBM HELPS NEDO TO FIND A SOLUTION IN TESTING TIMES!

Organisation (NEDO) and Motor & Magnetic Materials R&D Centre (MagHEM) with a system which could supply synchronised data in real time, which was an important issue for further development of its new super motor. As part of the research to develop a super motor that

H

uses new magnetic materials to reduce energy loss and increase its power density by 40%, compared to conventional electric motors, NEDO and MagHEM specified the HBM eDrive testing system, complete with the dynamic GEN7tA power analyser. By integrating this system into its test bench, this

meant that the process was simplified, without compromising on reliable data. HBM eDrive Testing is the revolutionary system for analysing electrical invertors and electrical machines.
