lectrical trade association SELECT has welcomed the 25th market-leading organisation to its growing associate membership scheme. Manufacturer Legrand UK & Ireland has become the latest big name to join the partnership, which continues to flourish after being launched last year. Foremost Electronics launches nVent SCHROFF On Board Rack for railway applications F


oremost Electronics, the engineering-led Essex based importer and specialist distributor of electromechanical components and sub-systems, has announced the availability of the new nVent SCHROFF On Board Rack (OBR).


The OBR is an ideal solution to install electronic systems on trains, trucks, ships and other vehicles in up to 19in (84 TE) and 36 TE enclosures, where a compact and lightweight solution for a secure, durable and reliable mounting is required.


Manufactured from corrosion resistant stainless steel and welded to meet AWS and EN 15085 (CL2), nVent On Board Racks are designed to withstand the tough environmental conditions in vehicles and deal with permanent vibration, shock, high temperatures and humidity. The On Board Racks are available in heights of 3, 6 or 9 U for 1, 2, or 3 SNCF sub-racks (NF F 61-005 and NF F 60-002), each supported by

a set of slide rails. The rear panel is designed to accept standard connectors. The crossbars can be custom coded with holes positioned to accept coding pins or SNCF sub-racks. The nVent SCHROFF OBR has a modular design and can be floor or ceiling mounted, for extra installation flexibility. Multiple racks can be stacked on top of each other or side- by-side to accommodate a wide range of electronics systems.
