Adexon to showcase its latest range of quality and compliant fire curtains at The Fire Safety Event 2023
Leading fire and smoke curtain supplier, Adexon Fire & Smoke, has unveiled its plans for The Fire Safety Event 2023
A
dexon will showcase its latest range of quality and compliant fire curtains at the event and will be running practical demonstrations of the curtains regularly throughout the show. Adexon’s managing Director, Charles Devenish, will deliver a presentation on legal compliance with the Construction Products Regulations (CPR) with regards to fire curtains on the last day of the show. Visitors to Stand 3a/B25 will be able to see, touch and examine life-size samples of Adexon’s latest products and speak to the company’s technical experts for guidance on best practice in fire curtain applications, usage and maintenance. Those visiting Adexon’s stand will also find out about the company’s value-added fire curtain maintenance and servicing packages, as well as its professional design service which includes site visits, detailed technical drawings and, where appropriate, 3D models. Part of the Cubex group, Adexon supplies one of the UK’s largest range of legally compliant, third- party certified vertical, horizontal and concertina fire curtains, as well as a range of smoke curtains, including the DH60 concertina smoke curtain which is third party certified to EN12101 – a certification that only a handful of manufacturers have achieved.
The company was established 17 years ago and has invested heavily to create a comprehensive
range of products that are ‘better – safer – certified’ in that they deliver demonstrable benefits, are legally compliant with the Construction Products Regulations (CPR), and are fully third party certified by a UKAS or equivalent accredited Certification Body.
Adexon’s products only use fire rated components for smoke control and feature an essentially maintenance free fabric retention design.
Mr Devenish has been invited to deliver a presentation at The Fire Safety Event on legal compliance with the Construction Products Regulations (CPR) with regards to fire curtains. The talk, titled ‘Is BS 8524 legal? A constructive discussion’, also includes details on the harmonised standard BS EN 16034. Mr Devenish said: “The Fire Safety Event is an ideal platform for us to demonstrate best practice in fire safety, specifically with regards to fire curtains. We believe that raising awareness through education is the most effective and inexpensive way to improve fire safety for the consumer – the ultimate goal of the fire industry. “Our ‘better – safer – certified’ promise sums up both our business ethos and our products. Through training, practical advice and thought leadership, our aim is to help increase awareness of the need to use legally compliant life safety standards that are third party certified, and to apply these correctly when using fire and smoke curtains. “We very much look forward to welcoming visitors on stand to see our products in action and to have a no obligation discussion about fire curtains.”
