Our strategy for the future McDonald’s is committed to expanding its presence across the UK & Ireland, with ambitions to open over 200 new restaurants over the next four years in a £1billion expansion drive. New and innovative restaurant formats will be tested as part of this growth plan, including ‘Drive to’ and smaller footprint restaurants. There will also be a renewed focus on high-street locations, aiming to support the evolution of towns and city
centres in the UK and Ireland. In addition to new openings, we and our franchisees are planning to upgrade and reimage more than 1,500 existing restaurants reflecting our commitment to innovation, customer service, and long-term growth.

Our apprenticeships programme has given over 22,000 people a great start to their careers since 2006. Opportunities are available for every restaurant role, with
programmes ranging from hospitality industry skills to corporate apprenticeships in finance, digital marketing, project management and data science.
