Tezlom Healthcare Recruitment: championing the individual

H

aving studied nursing in India, Hima Chaudhary came to the UK in 2010 to complete a

master’s degree in Advanced Nursing, before achieving a life- long goal of working within the NHS. In June 2021, Hima become franchisee of Tezlom Reading, which boasted 1185% growth in 2022 and now ranks 4th for performance in the network. eeting on er management franchise journey, and the last 12 months in particular, she says: “Tezlom Reading has a reputation as a different kind of agency, run by people who genuinely care. And that goes for how our care staff think of us as much as it does our clients. I pride myself on supporting working mums and young workers to either stay within, or enter, a profession they would normally be unable to access. As well as those who, for whatever reason, can’t conform to a 9-5 or full-time career. “It’s my belief that the needs of

my staff matter as much as the needs of my clients. A person with existing commitments and requirements ‘outside’ of the workplace norm can still be an exceptionally valuable member of the workforce and deserves a chance to thrive and grow. This core value of mine resonates perfectly with one of the six core pillars of Tezlom: Equality. “Developing young care staff and empowering them professionally, into bigger and better career prospects has been a strong focus for me, even as I build my business. As well as being an ethical stance, this is

also a sound business strategy, developing a loyal and trusted team of staff with Tezlom values at their core strengthens my position in the market and reduces staff turnover and attrition. “But 2022 was also a year of

personal growth – something I believe is vital for a business owner if you intend to succeed. Playing to my strength as a communicator and networker, I’ve leveraged my abilities to build our client base and workforce whilst seeking out opportunities to hone my sillset. m more onfident

more objective and more solutions-focussed than I have ever been – I think that counts as a notable achievement! “My focus now is on the next

12 months and beyond. I plan to deliver 1500 hours of care per week, expanding our reach across the region. Continuing to mentor and develop my team, provide an exceptional service to our clients and support my fellow franchisees in our collective mission to make personal placements that change lives.” 
