A great memory that propelled the artist to go “all in” on this crusade.

“I kept sending the tracks to labels until, 2 years later, at the end of 2023, Jesse Calosso signed our track Hyp- notized for his label Boogeyman, a sub-label of Cuttin’ Headz. The most curious thing is that after 3 years of trying to sign our music, we ended up having 2 releases almost back-to-back, a Hypnotized EP by Boogeyman in December 2023 and an Everything EP by DonotSleep Ibiza in February 2024.”

“The best lesson we learned is that if you believe in a song, you shouldn’t let the labels decide if it’s valid or not; music is subjective, and you never know who will be interested, so you shouldn’t give up when sending the demos you like.”

Through overcoming challenges and the constant pursuit of his voice, Daniel Orpi continues to leave his mark on the electronic scene, demonstrating that the path to success is full of obstacles but also opportuni- ties to grow and learn.

DIGGIN’ RECORDS: A NEW CHAPTER

In 2023, Daniel Orpi launched his record label, Diggin’ Records, a significant achievement in his career.

“Creating Diggin’ is something that requires a lot of preparation, from the name to the concept I want to convey, nothing is left to chance. The music videos, the covers, I think every detail adds up to stand out... Al- though we as a label can only do part of the work, the rest falls on the artist who must provide content about the track.”

And precisely speaking of the artists within the label, Daniel shared with us:

“The only criterion for an artist to sign with the label is that their music is good and in line with what we want to release on the label at that time. We don’t look at whether the artist has many or few followers if they play a lot or a little, or if they haven’t had any other re- leases. What interests me is releasing music that peo- ple can enjoy.”

For those starting in the industry, Orpi offers a simple but powerful piece of advice:

“Make as much music as you can until you find your style.”

He also highlights the importance of differentiating between a DJ and producer profile, and of using so- cial networks to promote oneself. Orpi recognizes the importance of promoting music in such a competiti- ve market. From creating visual content to carefully planning releases, every detail matters when it comes to standing out in the music scene.
