La inspiración se encuentra en una variedad de fuen- tes pero también es importante darse cuenta de los momentos en los que te encuentras más consciente para crear y cuando es un buen momento para tomarse un descanso cuando las ideas no fluyen.


“Lo que he aprendido en el último tiempo es que cuando no estoy inspirado, es decir cuando nada bueno me sale, lo mejor que puedo hacer es tomarme una pausa y no forzarlo. La inspiración es clave ya que me lleva a explorar otros ritmos, voces y melodías”.


Su canción “Angel De La Guarda” es un ejemplo de cómo una melodía puede llevarlo a lugares inesperados en su proceso creativo.


Al producir una de sus canciones más exitosas, “Sién- telo”, Daniel se enfrentó a un obstáculo inesperado: la búsqueda de la vocal perfecta. Ante la falta de opcio- nes, decidió tomar cartas en el asunto y grabar las vo- cales él mismo.


“Fue un gran desafío”, confiesa Daniel.


“No encontraba ninguna vocal para el track que había creado y entonces decidí ponerme manos a la obra yo mismo. Empecé a tararear hasta que se me ocurrió la letra y luego grabé la vocal con mi teléfono móvil”.


Este proceso no solo demostró su versatilidad como artista, sino también su determinación para superar cualquier obstáculo que se interpusiera en su camino creativo. Su estilo musical único, que fusiona influen- cias del hip hop, el R&B y la salsa.


Para él, la clave está en no encasillarse y en buscar que sus tracks transmitan una historia y una emoción.


“Creo que hay tantos estilos como artista, yo particularmente busco no encasillarme, busco que mis tracks tengan alguna historia y que transmitan una emoción”.


“Me gusta mucho el hip hop, el R&B y la salsa, sus vocales e instrumentos musicales (piano, guitarras etc) me inspiran y creo que eso se ve reflejado en mi música y en mis edits”.


COLABORACIONES SIGNIFICATIVAS Y LECCIONES APRENDIDAS


Las colaboraciones son una parte integral del proce- so creativo de Daniel. Una de las colaboraciones más significativas fue con su amigo Rayzir. Después de años de trabajar juntos y enviar demos a varios se- llos sin éxito, finalmente lograron su gran avance cuando su track “Hypnotized” fue firmado por el sello Boogeyman de Jesse Calosso, sub-sello de Cuttin’ Headz. Esta experiencia les enseñó una valiosa lección.


“Una de las colaboraciones más significativas ha sido con mi amigo Rayzir. Nos conocimos en Amsterdam para el ADE en 2019 e hicimos muy buena amistad. En aquel entonces él me comentó que era vocalista e hici- mos unos tracks juntos. Enviamos las collabs a varios sellos pero no tuvimos suerte”.


“Con el tiempo seguimos desarrollando nuestro sonido e hice varias versiones de los tracks que teníamos has- ta que un día, en 2021 Michael Bibi tocó nuestro track Hypnotized mientras hacía un b2b con los Martinez Brothers”.


“I couldn’t find any vocals for the track I had created, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started humming until I came up with the lyrics and then recor- ded the vocals with my mobile phone.”


This process demonstrated his versatility as an artist and his determination to overcome any obstacle that stood in his creative path. His unique musical style, merges influences from hip-hop, R&B, and salsa. For him, the key is not to pigeonhole himself and to en- sure that his tracks convey a story and an emotion.


“I believe there are as many styles as there are artists; I try not to pigeonhole myself, I try to make my tracks have a story and convey an emotion.”


“I like hip hop, R&B, and salsa; their vocals and musical instruments (piano, guitars, etc.) inspire me, and I think that is reflected in my music and my edits.”


SIGNIFICANT COLLABS AND LESSONS LEARNED


Collaborations are an integral part of Daniel’s creati- ve process. One of the most significant collaborations was with his friend Rayzir. After years of working toge- ther and sending demos to various labels without suc- cess, they finally achieved their big breakthrough when their track “Hypnotized” was signed by Jesse Calosso’s label Boogeyman, a sub-label of Cuttin’ Headz. This experience taught them a valuable lesson.


“One of the most significant collaborations has been with my friend Rayzir. We met in Amsterdam for ADE in 2019 and became very good friends. He told me he was a vocalist, and we made some tracks together. We sent the collabs to several labels but had no luck.”


“With time, we continued developing our sound, and I made several versions of the tracks we had until one day, in 2021, Michael Bibi played our track Hypnotized while doing a b2b with the Martinez Brothers.”


Inspiration comes from a variety of sources, but it’s also important to realize when you’re most aware to create and when it’s a good time to take a break when ideas don’t flow.


“What I’ve learned recently is that when I’m not inspi- red, that is when nothing good comes to me, the best thing I can do is take a break and not force it. Inspi- ration is key as it leads me to explore other rhythms, voices, and melodies.”


His song “Angel De La Guarda” exemplifies how a me- lody can take him to unexpected places in his creative process.


When producing one of his most successful songs, “Siéntelo,” Daniel faced an unexpected obstacle: fin- ding the perfect vocal. With no options available, he decided to take matters into his own hands and record the vocals himself.


“It was a great challenge,” confesses Daniel.
