There is so much exciting (hybrid) music emerging ri- ght now, and I want to showcase that. The goal is to highlight the innovation and creativity that define the current electronic landscape.”
THE JOGINDA SHOW: WHAT TO EXPECT
‘JOGINDA’ at Echobox will be a bi-monthly show that promises to be a vibrant showcase of new sounds and artistic innovation. Jo’s vision for ‘JOGINDA’ is to offer listeners a window into the latest trends and emerging talents in electronic music. The show will feature a mix of live sets, guest appearances, and in-depth inter- views, providing a platform for artists to share their creative processes and musical insights.
“I want ‘JOGINDA’ to be a space where listeners can discover the cutting-edge of electronic music,” Jo says.
“By featuring a range of genres and styles from UK Bass, Garage, Techno & Jungle, I hope to bring atten- tion to the incredible diversity and innovation happe- ning in the scene. It’s all about exploring new sounds and presenting them in a way that resonates with our audience.”
In addition to ‘JOGINDA,’ Jo will also be hosting a GLXY radio show at Operator in Rotterdam. This new plat- form will allow Jo to delve deeper into the label’s ros- ter and beyond, inviting guests who have released on GLXY Recs or are simply impressive in the electronic music community.
“The GLXY radio show at Operator will be an opportu- nity to connect with artists on a more personal level,” Jo explains.
“Each episode will feature a guest who has contributed to the label or who I think is doing something remar- kable. We’ll have B2B sessions, interviews, and discus- sions about their work and experiences. It’s a chance to celebrate the artists we admire and share their stories with our listeners.”
For international listeners, Jo will be conducting inter- views in Dutch, adding a local flavor to the show.
“I’ve decided to conduct interviews in Dutch going forward,” Jo says with a smile.
“It’s a way to bring a unique perspective and connect more deeply with our local audience.”
While Jo takes the reins with the new initiatives, Mike is transitioning to a different role, focusing on inter- views and collaborations. This shift allows Mike to explore new facets of the music world and enrich his creative journey.
“In my opinion, the best radio shows are those where guests have the chance to speak their minds,” Mike shares.
“It’s a humanizing experience to hear artists open up about their feelings, inspirations, and the creative pro- cess. These conversations often lead to a deeper con- nection and understanding of their work. It’s a bonding experience that extends beyond the show itself.”
