the recent general e le c t io n ' for a third straight term as MP for the Cumbria constituency o f Westmorland and Lonsdale, winningmorethanhalfthevote. He has already received sig­


nificant endorsements from the leaders o f Scottish and Welsh Libe ral Democrats, many o f the party’s former
