Stonyhurst Park Golf Club held theirs men’s Captain's Day com petition on Saturday last. Alex Young got the Long est Drive, Barry Bolton won Nearest the Pin and the best non-qualifierwasShaun McCullough (90-18-72). Third in the main event was Geoff Pal- liser (84-17-67), runner-up after a card play-off was Bob Driver (80-13-67), with the winner, with a magnificent 79-18-61, Steve Button. The Best Gross was won by Andrew Blockeel (78-5-73) and the Captain's Special Prize was awarded to Sabden's Dave Beesley- the oldest competitor to enter a sco re over 18 holes.
