The Grand wins prestigious award for fund-raising show

Clitheroe venue The Grand has won a national award in recognition of its inter-school talentshow, “GRAB: The Event".


GRAB featured children from Ribble Valley’s four high


schools and money raised from the event helped to pro­ vide school meals for poor children in Africa through The Grand’s Solomon Project, and other good causes. The Grand landed the . award for best fund-raising


■ event at the Big Issue in the North Social Impact Awards in Manchester, where thejudges included radio presenter Alan BeswickandMPHazelBlears. They praised The Grand
