A DELIGHTFUL portrait of the fascinating 1950s jazz musician and popular radio broadcaster Ken Sykora, called "The Man with the Jazz Guitar", will enjoy its English premiere at Clitheroe's The Grand next WMk. The musician is the father of local guitar

teacher and musician Duncan Sykora (51), of Saddler's Mews, Clitheroe. He explained how the film had taken four years to make with its production company first becoming interested after

viewing a Facebook page about his father. Duncan, whose wife, Susan, runs

Clitheroe Pop Choir and who himself plays for local bands International Rescue and Glamtastic 4, is interviewed for the documentary.

Deeply inspired by Django Reinhardt, Ken's musical career was cut short

FARCICAL

' ACTING: The Stage Two cast

RAY Cooney is the master of turning tricky situations into hilarious farce, writes Bob Cleeve.

"Out of Order" is just such a play. Farce is very

diffi^cult and needs experience and competence from Its director and cast to pull it off successfully Stage Two's production had all those elements

and, as a i-esult, the audience thoroughly enjoyed their evening out and expressed that enjoyment bv laughing from start to finish. The plot is too complicated to explain,

suffice to say that Richard Willey MP (Dickie to his friends) is supposed

to be at an all night sitting in the House of Commons, but has plans to seduce the leader of the opposition's

secretary in the nearby Westminster Hotel.

they discover the body of an "intruder" apparently killed by the sash window descending upon him. They move him with the assistance of the MP's PPS. Then eveiything turns pear shaped and the intrigue, lies and web of deceit grows from there. Brian Haworth, as the MP, portrayed all the emotions.from lust to bewilderment as the plot thickens with aplomb arid credibili^ that befits his considerable experience. He held this large part together and also designed and built the
