A BRAND new classroom has been offi cially unveiled at a Valley village school;

will benefit from the new extension which also boasts a new cloakroom, toilet block and soft play area. While building work was under way,

A CONCERNED Clitheroe pet shop owner is urgently trying to trace a baby rabbit which was taken at the weekend. • The three-week-old lop eared lionhead cross was taken from the animal room at Ideal Pet Stores in Moor Lane some time on Saturday. Carol Briggs is now desperate to

HELPING to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy diet is the aim of Cinzia and Maurizio Bocchi,: at the La Locanda Ristorante, in Gisbum. - ■ They have teamed up with the Val-
' ley magazine and the Clitheroe - - Advertiser and Times to run a Junior Chef 2008 competition by inviting, young cooks aged betwen eight and 14 to develop a recipe of their own which is nutritious, appealing to other children and easy to prepare. Lots of schools took part and from
those entries submitted the finalists were chosen by Cinzia and Maurizio. They are: Connor Baron Hyde, (age 11) of
Clitheroe; Nicole Welch (10), of Cow Ark, near Clitheroe; Anna Threlfall
(11), of Great Harwood; and Holly Shutcs (11), of Newton. . .
