guide sends anonymous reviewers to sample the food, wine, beers, service, ambience and value for money. There are only a handful of pubs from the whole of the Lancashire region in the guide and the Red-Pump Inn is cele brating- being one of them. For owners Martina
and Jo n a th an Myer- scough this is a particu larly significant achieve ment since they decided less than three years ago to enter th e catering industry by taking over an old country inn in the heart of the Ribble Valley. They have restored the Red Pump to a high qual i ty pub and restaurant with lovely guest accom modation. Other acco lades they have received include a listing in Alas- ta i r Sawday’s guide to special places to visit in England and Wales, being named as one of the top 50 pubs in the whole of England and Wales and the AA guide to Britain’s best pubs, plus many oth ers. ; "Good food in the Rib
ble Valley has always been recognised, but for the Red Pump Inn to have such a stamp of approval from Michelin is rather special and we are going to celebrate rather heartily," said a delighted ■Martina.
