‘.whatever its style. ■i."Dressing a tree is
similar to dressing oneself.- too many clashing shades look awful. Stick to a two-colour scheme."
TREE CHOICE • If it's a real tree:
choose one slightly taller than you need, so that if the top is spindly you can cut i t : down. Its tip will be hidden by the star o r , angel.
■ . Test fairy lights
and always put them on first before adding other decorations. DO N T OVERDO IT She advises: "Don't feel you have to put
. on every decoration that you possess. Choose a selection that suits the style you're creating.
"Using too many
will conceal the shape and colour of the tree.-'Instead use dif- ■ ferent azes of baubles - in the same colour to . giveinterest." V. . COLOUR IS KEY Echo one .of the .
two key colours in your scheme in rib-: bon, paper and felt. Wind coloured rib bon around the tree's trunk, ' then cut lengths of ribbon of around 9ins in length ; and tie into bows for, the branches. Use the same colour crepe paper or felt and wrap around the tree's base, and finish with a large coloured 'mat' of felt on which you stand the tree, and display presents.

“ I began trading as Precious Little
Treasures on the internet in March 2006 after deciding to start an internet business as a direct result of the birth of my daughter Florence - now four-and- a-half.
“My husband, Robert, and myself
had been trying for many years, with out success, to have children and after an ectopic pregnancy'and five failed rounds of I VP we had decided to begin adoption proceedings. “Just as the second meeting had been
arranged, Robert received the devastat ing diagnosis that he was suffering from Chronic Myloid Leukaemia. “We were both absolutely stunned,
especially when the condition unexpect edly accelerated to Acute Myloid Leukaemia. , “After extensive treatment in the
Christie Hospital and a bone marrow transplant from- his only brother, my brave and determined husband now enjoys full remi^ion and has done for the past six years. “Just last week he went for his now
yearly check-up at the Christie and was again given the all-clear. “After the rollercoaster ride of
Robert’s illness, we decided to give IVF one last try and attended the Alexan

implanted and on April 20th, 2004, our beautiful daughter, Florence, was born. “ I think you can see why I wanted to
stay at home as much as I could with my little girl and after so many lovely gifts were bought for Florence, I decid ed to set up a gift business of my own - which is how Precious Little Treasures came to be. “After almost two years trading and
establishing a client base on the inter net, obtaining a shop seemed to be a natural progression for the business and the picturesque market town of Clitheroe is an ideal place. “ I feel I have travelled quite a long
way to the position I am in at the moment, but all of it with great sup port from Robert. He is a true inspira tion.”
