Hospital to open psychiatric clinic

Hartley-Parkinson by Richard

GISBURNE Park Hospital has ann-ounced that it is to open a purpose-built psychi atric clinic. Ribble Valley Mayor Coun.

Charles Warkman and his wife, Mrs Ruth Warkman, officiated at the ceremony by “cutting the tu r f” along with Covenant Healthcare Ltd Group Opera tions Director Mr Sayed Bel- Barco. The clinic, which is to be

known as the Churchill Gisbume Clinic, is due to open in Febru ary of next year. It is being built by Covenant Healthcare Ltd. and will include a gym, lounges, treatment rooms and a games and activity area. Mr Bel-Barco said: “The clin

ic is designed to meet the needs of patients who require short or long-term in-patient psychiatric care and treatment in spacious, beautiful surroundings.” The experienced team will be

led by a consultant psychiatrist, who will be the responsible med ical officer and will consist of nurses, social workers, occupa tional therapists and clinical psychologists and other relevant professionals. The Churchill Gisbume Clinic is the second psychiatric unit to

be built by Covenant, with its first unit recently opened at Ayr in Scotland and a similar one is due to open in London next year. Our picture shows Coun
