was last performed by RATS some 17 years ago, in 1986, but cast and audience members remember it fondly and are looking forward to a second innings. Indeed, some of the 1986 cast members return to the Ribchester stage playing the same parts, though as a slightly older generation! The now-famous play was first per­


formed on stage in 1979 with a cast that included Julia McKenzie and Maureen Lipman. SANTA’S special Christmas trains start running on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, near Skipton, this Sunday. The Santa Specials will run every Sunday until December 21st,


departing Embsay Station and Bolton Abbey Station every 40 minutes from 10-30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets for the return journey on the scenic line cost £6 for
