Lancashire County Council has teamed up with the town's picture house to give free popcorn to anyone who presents their Ribble Valley Day Ranger or any bus ticket bought on the Ribble Val­ ley Rider when paying to see any of the films show­ ing a t The Grand in August.

Thousands of shoppers develop taste for local milk


MILK from 15 farms in the Clitheroe area is dis­ appearing from the shelves of 26 North West supermarkets as quickly as it is being put on. In the first week of a


local farms is collected by tanker, bottled and distributed daily in one pint and two pint con­ tainers each day. Shoppers seem to be


unique marketing scheme being operated in a jo in t operation between the farmers in the Bowland area of out­ standing natural beauty and Booths Supermar­ kets, sales are "better than expected". The milk from the
