invited to the club by member Mr Neil Tomlinson. He decided to donate his £84 winnings from a club tournament to the appeal launched in last week's Advertiser and Times to buy Tina an electric wheelchair in time for Christmas.

being groomed for a mid-November launch.
I t has songs penned by MTV-lauded American boy band N Sync, who
se line-up includes Brit ney Spears' boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, and a photo shoot booked with Smash Hits maga zine. I t also has 20- year-old Jonathan Lloyd, of Withgill Lodge, Withgill, among
its number. A former pupil of Clitheroe Royal Gram
mar School, Jonathan was invited to complete FY8’s line-up just three weeks ago after band manager Mr Ian Beckett spotted the former head chorister of St Helen's Church, Waddington, performing in a charity
star. The company stage
concert in Blackpool. Jonathan was on stage
with 60 fellow students from the town's school of performing arts, where he is in his last year of a three year performing
arts degree. Now Jonathan, who
already has a diploma in performing arts from Preston College, has a three year contract with Mr Beckett's St Annes- based Lilas Music Man agement Limited, which
manages the hugely pop ular Steps and N Sync and is so confident that FY8 will follow a similar path to mass success that it is already book ing the band for person al appearances, includ ing Christmas lights switch-ons around the
country. While FY8 is current
ly busy in a Manchester recording studio with only choreographers and stylists for visitors, Jonathan's father, Mr Ian Lloyd, a Clitheroe- based partner in char tered surveyors Mor timers, said: "We are extremely proud of
