The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert:-

from a point on Public Footpath No. 25, Grindleton, Ribble Valley Borough, to the south-east of ‘Cottams’, (GR. 7588 4899), in a general north-westerly direction for a distance


of approximately 120 metres, (to GR. 7583 4910).


A copy of the Order, as confirmed, and plan have been deposited at the offices of the Ribble Valley Borough Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, and at my offices, where they may be inspected, free of charge, during office hours.


This order becomes operative on the 1st August 2000, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that a requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 7 to the Act within six weeks from the 20th July 2000, make application to the High Court for the purpose.
