Former grammar school pupils travel from afar - even America - for a special reunion


FORMER Clitheroe Royal Grammar School pupils trav­ elled from across the Atlantic and Aberystwyth to the Moorcock Inn, Waddington,


for a special reunion. Thirty-eight women who had


started at the Ribble Valley school in September, 1951, gathered together for the first time since they left in either 1956 or 1958. Joining them for the occasion were three other former CRGS pupils, one who


was visiting from Down Under. Furthest travelled specifically for the


celebration was Judith Hartley - now Mrs Spencer - who came from her home in


Oregon, America. She was joined by for­ mer classmates from all over the country who came to the North-West for the get- together. To help with identification, everyone
