The above named Order was made on the 9th May, 2000, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.


The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modification, will be to divert that part of Public Footpath No. 1, Newton-in-Bowland, Ribble Valley Borough, from a point to the west 'Hey Barn', (GR.6755 5229), in a general easterly direction for a distance of approximately 20 metres, and then in a general north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 44 metres, (to

and the alternative route to be provided is from a point on Public Footpath No. 1. Newton-in Bowland, Ribble Valley Borough , to the west of ‘Hey Barn', (GR.6755 5229), in a general north-north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 50 metres, to rejoin Public Footpath No 1, Newton-in-Bowland, Ribble Valley Borough, (GR.6759 5236).


Copies of the Order and plan, together with a Statement explaining why the Order has been made, have been placed, and may be seen free of charge, at the offices of Ribble Valley Council, Council Offices, Church walk, Clitheroe and at my offices, where they may be seen, free of charge, during office hours.
