display of watercolours by Mrs Ann Hargreaves, of Clitheroe. Her beautiful paintings, small and large and on sale to the public, feature many local scenes such as the Cas tle Keep and Clitheroe Market, together with views of Pendleton,
Bolton-by-Bowland and Whalley. Other scenes she has painted bring
back childhood memories of day trips to Blackpool and Lytham St Annes, Glasson Dock, usually on school trips, and holidays in Scarbor ough with a painting of fishermen in
| Robin Hood's Bay. Places further afield also featuring
in her paintings include Bruges, Ghent and the famous Ironbridge in
Shropshire. Anyone who would like to display
their artwork in the library should contact Mrs Mary Palmer who is always looking for local artists. The other exhibition, which is
