YOUNG people from Clitheroe are to be given a voice, campaign for an improvement in their status and image and act as advisers to Clitheroe Town Coun cil, through their own new representative

Council has been set in motion by an amalgam of bodies, including Clith eroe Town Council, Ribble Valley Youth and Com munity Service and
Clitheroe police. The Youth Council,
which is to have a detailed constitution, will be run by young people from
Clitheroe aged betweenJll and 18. It will meet at least four times a year and will act as an advisory body; on policies, issues and facilities provided for young people in the area. It will advisein a number of organisations involved in youth work ant) making policy affecting
