of Sabden Age Concern Leisure Club attended the December luncheon. There was Christmas fare on the menu, provided by outside caterers so that the mem bers could have a day off. The club provided the wine, crackers and mince pies. New member Mrs Joyce
Crimes was welcomed, aiong with Mr Martin Bradley, from Age Concern in Clitheroe. Village bobby PC Paul Worswick called in to urge everyone to be safe ty conscious, to ensure doors were kept locked and vigilance practised, particu larly at this time of year. The chairman, Mr Leslie
White, gave the notices which included ideas for a summer outing, and birth day greetings for members. The 14-strong choir then
entertained, conducted by Mrs Ruth Shaw and accompanied by Mrs Millie Moorhouse on the electric organ. There was entertain ment from Mr Jack Tagg, Mrs Joyce Harrison, Mrs
i Mildred Pounder, Mr Leslie White and Mis Pat White. A raffle with 20 prizes was
drawn.

Mrs Barker thanked the pupils and their teachers and Father Christmas gave each of them a small gift. A buffet supper of many different dishes, provided
by members, was enjoyed by everyone. Winner of the raffle was Mrs Pat Bailey and proceeds will go to the Clitheroe Heart Machine. Father Christmas made
another appearance and gave everyone a present from a very full sack. Mrs Si Ingham won the compe tition cup for most points during the year. The evening was rounded
off by the singing of carols conducted by Mr Jim Park er, accompanied by Mrs Kirsteen Walmsley on
