only when more than 300 vil lagers and friends attended the carols Ijy candlelight service at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Bolton-by-Bowland. The rec tor, the Rev. David Mewis, led the worship and also conducted the joint choir from the parish es, of Grindleton and Bolton- hy-Bowiand. The choir sang "A Virgin Most Pure”, "When the Angel Came to Mary", "Past Three O'Clock" and "Come and See the Shining Hope". Organ ist was Mr J-Pye. Rachel Mewis sang the
Ascroft, of Christ Church and by Messrs Roy Porter, Laurie Whittaker and Neil Turpin of the Methodist Church. Mr Clifford Johnson was the organist. Following the service coffee and mince pies were served in the schoolroom. On Monday, the minister

sprouts, carrots and gravy. o To follow there was a choice

Over and Out Gisburn YFC has closed
