has the country's finest in her sights after claiming the Lancashire cross-country crown. Hayley (12), who lives
T
in Hapton and attends St Augustine's RC High School, Billington, won the Red Rose title in Leyland to cap the best season in her blossoming
career so far. The Blackburn Harrier
now holds three titles after winning the county 800m and 1,500m races on the track a t Blackpool earlier in the year. She earns her first
county vest in Luton in JanuEiry as she takes on the cream of English runners in the National Cross-Country Championships. International honours
are next on the agenda for the ambitious Hayley, who has only been running competitively for three years and is certainly making a big impression. Hayley is pictured with
her growing collection of medals. (CAT15117c)
