Kwiksave sign must go

AN internally illuminated poster-size box sign outside Kwiksave, Clitheroe, must be removed, councillors

decided. A retrospective applica

tion for the sign was refused by Ribble Valley Borough Council Planning Commit tee. Members accepted the recommendation of the offi cers, who described the sign as "visually intrusive" and

detrimental to the charac ter and appearance of the nearby conservation area. The officers were autho

rised to take enforcement action to secure the removal of the sign, if necessary.
