THE months seem to have flown this year and already the feeling of Autumn seems to have settled over the valley. After all the upheaval in the town earlier this year, set ting out the new traffic scheme, Clitheroe once again seems to have returned to some
sort of “normality”. Some criticism was justified and deliveries tn some
shops still create problems, but, on the whole, I think tiie town has looked well this year and the hunting, once again, has given Clitlieroe a carnival atmosphere and many visitors have commented to me on how they enjoy their visits to Clitheroe. Car parking charges are finally about to be intro
duced, so we are told, and I am sure, for a while, there will be the inevitable teething problems. The town and villages in the valley do not seem to
