Ramblers head for Cowling
COWLING was the venue for Clitheroe Ramblers for their
latest walk. Leaving Green Syke,
the party walked via Hey Farm and Ickornshaw Beck to the hamlet of Ick ornshaw where they met the Pennine Way and fol lowed it to Higher Dean
Hole Farm. Moorland tracks and
short walk by road then took them to the Hitchin Stone,where the party broke for lunch, after the more agile members had scaled the rock. Thu w a 1k e r s t h e n

Elaine’s Child Care Centre at Brockhall Village took part in a day-long sponsored bounce, raising several hundred pounds for Children in Need. The children took
it in turn to bounce the day away in a bouncy castle, hired for the occasion, and the average number of bounces was 50. Proprietor Elaine
Eastham said: “One baby enjoyed the experience so much that he wanted to go on all day! The babies loo young to use the castle were put in baby bouncers and they, too, helped
