We are looking for Temporary Part Time Clerk/Typists to be employed at Colne, Accrington, Burnley, Lancaster, Blackpool, Chorley, Skelmersdale, Fulwood, Leyland, St Annes and Fleetwood Police Stations. The posts will be temporary for a period of 6 months initially, subject to review.


You should preferably have 4 GCE/GCSE 'O' Levels Grade C and above (or equivalent) including English Language. An intermediate typewriting qualification (35 wpm) is essential.


Applicants must possess previous general office, clerical and administrative experience. Previous word processing experience (Word for Windows) is essential together with good organisational and communication skills both oral and written, The ability to operate as a flexible team member and previous knowledge of court related systems are desirable.


The posts are graded Scale 1/2, £3,252 to £5,193 per annum for a 18.5 hour week. Exact working arrangements to be agreed at interview.

Humber Fabrics Ltd are a long established manufacturer off F.I.B.C’s situated on the Huncoat Business Park, nr Accrington. The company currently employ about 50 people in cutting and sewing operations. Manufacturing heavy duty packaging from woven polypropylene fabric.


Due to recent expansion a vacancy exists for an additional Supervisor responsible directly to the Works Manager. Experience in a supervisory role would be advantageous although not essential. Initially this role would concentrate its efforts within the training area of the production unit, therefore experience as a trainer may prove to be beneficial to the candidate who possesses the potential to succeed in this demanding role.


Hours of work are Monday-Thursday 7-30 a.m. to 4-45 p.m. and 7-30 a.m. to 12-30 p.m. Friday. Overtime working will be necessary and would be paid for. Please apply in writing to:-
